What’s next for #RebootWarehouse13?

A

month ago, at Dragon Con in Atlanta, GA it was announced by Warehouse 13 stars Eddie McClintock (who played the role of Pete Lattimer) & Allison Scagliotti (Claudia Donovan) that showrunner/exec producer/head writer Jack Kenny and Mark Stern who was previously Syfy’s President of Original Programming, and current president/partner at IM Global Television are actively pursuing a reboot* of Warehouse 13 with Peacock.

Since the announcement on September 3, there has been growing momentum for a reboot and fans have been rallying together by hash tagging #RebootWarehouse13 on social media.

It’s ALL about numbers

If you are not familiar with Peacock, it’s a streaming service from NBC Universal.

There are two plans available, Premium, which is $4.99/month ($49.99/year) and Premium Plus, $9.99/month ($99.99 year).

When the platform first launched in 2020, it was noted here, that “ad revenue means that Peacock will be judged by different metrics. Whereas Netflix and Amazon measure success by their ability to grow and retain subscribers, Peacock’s advertisers will measure NBC’s success by the amount of time consumers spend on the content.

This is important to note as we need to show Peacock (NBC Universal) the amount of time consumers spend on content. Which means put away your DVD’s and watch Warehouse 13 on Peacock. We need to show them the numbers.

Two key takeaways that streaming platforms look for are:

1. Growth/retain paid subscribers
2. Amount of time consumers spend on content

More Endless Wonder

When it comes to deciding to Reboot Warehouse 13, I believe Peacock / NBC Universal will look at growth (in subscribers) and the time consumers spend watching Warehouse 13.

At only $4.99/month you can have access to ALL five seasons of Warehouse 13 under Peacock Premium.

If you don’t have an account on Peacock and would like to see what it’s like, there are 10,000 + hours of movies and TV shows that are currently streaming for FREE on Peacock.

Do you have Comcast Xfinity? You get Peacock Premium.

Peacock Premium is currently included for no additional cost for all Xfinity Flex customers and Xfinity X1 and video customers who have a subscription to Xfinity Internet or Digital Starter TV, or equivalent, or above. Check to see if your eligible here.
